Duneland Community Church began in 1999 as the rebirth of a church founded in Chesterton, Indiana back in 1947. Duneland is a part of the Church of the Nazarene, a Wesleyan Denomination founded back in 1908. As part of the Church of the Nazarene we adhere to the teachings and beliefs of our denomination. If you want more information on what we believe click on this link. DCC was created by a group of believers who in their dedication to reach out to their community were willing to set aside traditional forms of church and worship and creatively engage with the culture in an effort to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. This mission continues on today as we continue to reimagine what church should look like and desire to find the most effective ways possible to impact our community. Currently DCC worships in our new facility located at Pioneer Lumber (behind the Chesterton Wiseway) at 1552 Pioneer Trail. Part of our vision for the future, however, includes 12 acres of land we have purchased on County Road 1100 near Chesterton High School. We are working to move forward with our vision to build on this land and create a place where the community can gather to worship, grow in their faith, and live life together. Our current pastor is Greg Arthur, who arrived with is family to DCC in November 2008 from Chapel Hill, NC. You can visit Greg's page to learn more about him or check out his blog and podcast to read his thoughts or hear a sermon. Duneland Community Church is a wonderful community to be part of. We hope you will come and worship with us an find a home with us so that you can find your part in our vision to impact our community.
